We are absolutely delighted to share some exciting news: we have been awarded Gold by Green Tourism.
This award reflects our commitment to sustainability and the meaningful actions we take to care for people, places and planet. Achieving Gold is a significant milestone and we’re pleased to share what this means and how we got here.
What This Award Represents
Green Tourism Gold is awarded to organisations that demonstrate the highest standards of sustainable practice across environmental, social and economic areas. It’s not just about policies on paper, it’s about measurable impact, continuous improvement and leadership in responsible tourism.
Here’s how our strengths helped us achieve Gold status.
People Goals: Awareness, Health & Wellbeing
Raising Awareness
We actively engage both staff and visitors in our sustainability efforts. Through training, transparent communication and guest information, we ensure everyone understands how small actions contribute to meaningful change.
Health & Wellbeing
We prioritise physical and mental wellbeing in our business, fostering a supportive environment where our team can thrive. For our guests, we create spaces and experiences that encourage relaxation and connection with nature.

Places Goals: Biodiversity & Meaningful Experiences
Protecting and Enhancing Biodiversity
We actively support local biodiversity through habitat protection, wildlife-friendly landscaping and partnerships that strengthen the surrounding ecosystem. Native planting, pollinator-friendly initiatives and land management ensure we play our part in protecting biodiversity.
Creating Purposeful Experiences
We encourage experiences that connect guests to local culture, landscape and community. We help visitors appreciate the uniqueness of our destination while supporting local suppliers and producers.

Planet Goals: Waste, Carbon & Chemicals
Our environmental management systems focus on measurable reductions and responsible resource use.
Reducing Waste
From waste segregation and recycling to reducing single-use items, we continually review our processes to minimise waste generation. Prevention comes first, reducing consumption before recycling what remains.
Lowering Carbon
We monitor energy use, improve efficiency and invest in lower-carbon alternatives wherever possible. From operational changes to smarter procurement, we are committed to reducing our overall footprint year on year.
Responsible Chemical Use
We carefully select environmentally responsible cleaning, toiletries and maintenance products, reducing harmful chemicals and protecting both ecosystems and human health.

A Milestone: Not the Finish Line
Achieving Gold is an incredible achievement, but sustainability is a journey of continuous improvement. We remain committed to setting ambitious goals, measuring our impact and seeking ways to improve.
